Top ten most crazy Met Gala outfits –

The Met Gala always promises to produce some of the best and worst outfit choices from our favorite celebs! We are going to take a look back over the years at the ones that made us think, ‘‘what was she thinking?”

1. Rhianna -

For the 2015 Met Gala the theme was ‘’China; through the looking glass’’ and while some celebs absolutely rocked the red carpet, Rhianna caught everyone’s eyes, for all the wrong reasons.

When RiRi turned up in a golden yellow Guo Pei Couture gown everyone’s heads were turning and we are sure she did not get the reaction she had hoped for with thousands of viewers turning to social media to slate her outfit choice as she was compared to an omlette and a pizza!

A bold move Rhianna, but better luck next time…

2. Sarah Jessica Parker -

Another celeb that took the 2015 Met Gala theme to another level was Sarah Jessica Parker. The Sex In the City star wore a off the shoulder, black silk H&M gown, but it was the choice of accessory that made people take a second look.

The red and silver Philip Treacy headpiece looks as if it is made to resemble flames with two long red tassels hanging from either side. We can see where she was going with this extravagant headdress but we don’t think she quite pulled it off.

3. Kim Kardashian -

Kim Kardashian clearly did not get the memo when choosing her outfit for the 2013 Met Gala. The theme for the night was ‘’Punk: Chaos to Couture” however Kim K showed up looking like she was wearing her Grandmas curtains!

Wearing a floral floor length dress with a slit to the knee we must say she looks far from Punk. Understandably being pregnant would have limited her outfit choice but c’mon Kim, you could’ve done better than that!

4. Zayn Malik -

Zayn Malik is the only male on our list with his 2016 Met Gala outfit. The theme this year was ‘’Manus x Machina’’, so Zayn took it upon himself to come dressed…as a robot.

He wore a simple Versace suit and then tried embrace the futuristic theme using metal armor to cover his sleeves. He obviously seemed to think this idea was great but social media thought differently with people making comments such as ‘’Zayn just literally wrapped some tin foil on his arms’’ and comparing him to iron man. Never mind Zayn, try again next year…

5. Kate Upton –

This one really is a big disappointment! Kate Upton has an amazing curvy figure but the black thrilly fishtail dress she wore for the 2014 Met Gala did not compliment her one bit!

The Dolce and Gabana outfit did nothing for the actress, with a black corset around her waist and flowery headpiece she did not look like she belonged on the red carpet!

6. Solange Knowles -

Solange Knowles’ outfit for the 2016 Met Gala had everyone reaching for their sunglasses! Beyonces younger sister turned up wearing a bright lemon dress, along with latex knee-high leggings and see through heels.

The dress, designed by David Laport is certainly an eye-catcher; the bright yellow circles surrounded Solange as she strutted her stuff on the red carpet. It certainly takes someone as bold as Solange to wear an outfit like this, but we are not quite sure that she pulled it off.

7. Madonna -

Madonna knows just how to take your breath away and at the 2016 Met Gala she did just that! In an EXTREMELY revealing black lace get up, Madonna seamed to forget some of her outfit!

Baring not only her breasts but also her bottom too Madonna walked down the red carpet in black over the knee leather boots oozing confidence. The Givenchy outfit was certainly not for the faint hearted. However it seems the 57-year-old star says that her outfit was a ‘’Political Statement’’ to remind people to fight for women’s rights! Good on you Madonna but maybe, next time put your bum away!

8. Katie Holmes –

We could have mistaken Katie Holmes for Belle from Beauty and the beast at the 2014 Met Gala, however her choice of outfit made her look far from beautiful!

The Marchesa mustard frock swallowed her small frame and the colour was way too bold. The off the shoulder floor length gown did not match the stars usually simple style; this is the perfect example of stick to what you know!

9. Katy Perry -

Katy Perry knows just how to rock a red carpet but this time she has not done so well! For the 2015 Met Gala Perry opted for a black strapless Moschino dress decorated with brightly colored spray paint.

With matching long gloves and Moschino bag Katie certainly stood out among the other celebs as she posed for the Papps but we are not sure we dug the singer’s style this year!

10. Nicki Minaj –

Nicki Minaj is one of the fieriest female celebs and she certainly knows how to show it when she walks down the red carpet! At the 2016 Met gala Minaj did not shy away from showing her flesh!

Wearing a black Moschino floor length dress and gloves, both decorated with black and silver sequin belts, the singer still managed to show us all of her voluptuous body, with the sheer black material and a low cut top, it was maybe just a bit too much for us!
